Four County RV Park Kayak Trip

🛶 Kayak Trip Overview

We will be paddling approximately 7.5 miles of the Oconee River, from Balls Ferry State Park to Beaver Dam WMA. This stretch of river offers a relaxed, scenic float with a mix of calm water, sandbars, and great spots to swim and take breaks along the way.

🛶 Kayak Trip Itinerary (Approximate)

Please note: All times are approximate. River flow, group pace, and weather can affect our schedule, so we’ll stay flexible and enjoy the day as it comes.

8:30 AM – Meet at the campground

We’ll get checked in, say hello, and get everyone ready for the day.

8:45 AM – Depart for the river

We’ll head out together to the launch point.

9:15 AM – Arrive at Balls Ferry State Park

Unload, setup, and final prep before we hit the water.

By 10:30 AM – On the river

Everyone will be launched and paddling downstream.

Around 11:30 AM – Sandbar stop

We’ll take a break to relax, swim, and enjoy lunch.

12:00 PM – Back on the water

Time to continue the journey!

Around 1:00 PM – Rock “Island” stop

Another fun break for swimming and hanging out.

1:15 PM – Final stretch

We’ll paddle the last section of the river.

Around 1:45 PM – Take-out at Beaver Dam & load kayaks

We’ll wrap up on the water and load up for the return trip.

2:30 PM – Head back to the campground

3:15–3:30 PM – Back at the campground

Trip officially wraps up.

🌊 What to Expect

This trip is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable for all experience levels. We’ll paddle at a comfortable pace with plenty of time to stop, swim, and enjoy the river along the way.

You can expect calm stretches of water, a few gentle moving sections, and lots of opportunities to hang out on sandbars and explore. Our team will be there to guide you, help as needed, and make sure everyone has a safe and great experience.

🛡️ Safety Information

Your safety is our top priority. Before the trip begins, all participants will receive a basic safety briefing covering paddling guidelines, river awareness, and group expectations.

• Life vests (PFDs) are provided and must be worn while on the water

• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times

Our guides will assist with river conditions and group safety throughout the experience.

• Shoes you don’t mind getting wet

• Towel, sunglasses, hat or cap, dry bag, snacks, change of clothes, bug spray
